Spring, summer or autumn, there is plenty to do in Mallnitz!

Splashing streams, waterfalls, newly blooming alpine meadows or the colourful splendour of autumn, Mallnitz has it all. Mallnitz is overwhelming nature, walking for kilometres without meeting anyone. Mallnitz is also good food, a beer on the terrace or a cosy BBQ in the garden of Carinthia Appartements.

Hiking, hiking, hut tours...

In the Hohe Tauern, kilometres of hiking trails are at your disposal; from gentle hikes to challenging mountain tours; you step out the door of Carinthia Appartements and are in the middle of pristine nature in no time.

But also if you want a bit more adrenaline, you can raft, kayak or canyonin on the Möll. You can start in Obervellach at Pristavec or at Cam Cool from Flattach. Or go flying on a 1600m cable car, 130km/h and 143 high at Flying Fox XXL, Leogang. Or perhaps climbing via the most beautiful waterfalls is also a possibility at Millnatzenklamm-Klettersteig in Lesachtal. 

What is also well worth a visit is one of the gorges (waterfalls) in and around Mallnitz. The Groppensteinschlucht, the Raggaschlucht or the Rabischssclucht are huge waterfalls along which you can hike up. Fun for young and old alike!

So plenty to do :-) As Carinthia is not just about winter tourism, but also has strong influences of a Mediterranean climate, the villages and towns are full of conviviality and also great for lounging by the water at one of the many lakes in the area. So whether you have a Burgundian streak, are sporty or a nature lover; Mallnitz and its surroundings have it all.

By the way; just sitting on your flat balcony and enjoying the mountains around you is of course also allowed! ;-)
